Identifying Financial Benchmarks for Vegetable Farms

January 15, 2019 • 1–5pm
Chatham University | Eden Hall Campus | Computer Lab
6035 Ridge Road, Richland Township, 15044
Direct-market vegetable sales at farmers markets, CSAs, on-site farm stands, and other outlets
are an $86 million industry in Pennsylvania. Yet, little information is available to guide vegetable
farmers in making successful financial decisions. This free workshop will help vegetable farmers
chart a course for improving profits by participating in PASA’s Diversified Vegetable Financial
Benchmark Study.
Workshop participants will complete a detailed survey about their farm
business finances, which PASA will use to develop personalized benchmark reports showing
how their finances compare to farms across Pennsylvania and the U.S.
If you’d like to attend this workshop, please register in advance by Thursday, January 3rd. All
participants are eligible for a $100 stipend for completing the study. To qualify, participants must
prepare basic financial records from 2017 before the workshop.
