Next week, hundreds of hundreds of farmers, ranchers, and rural residents will gather online to speak directly with their elected representatives and administration officials as part of National Farmers Union’s (NFU) virtual legislative fly-in.
While signup for the full event has closed, we are opening several of the fly-in sessions to the public. All three are free to attend, but require registration ahead of time.
USDA Briefing
Monday, September 14, 1 pm ET
U.S. Secretary of Agriculture Sonny Perdue and Deputy Under Secretary for Rural Development Bette Brand will give updates about the agency’s activities and priorities.

Tuesday, September 15, 1 pm ET
Congressional leadership and elected representatives will discuss current policy issues affecting farmers. Featuring peaker of the House of Representatives Nancy Pelosi, Chairman of the House Committee on Agriculture Collin Peterson, Senator Debbie Stabenow, Senator Jon Tester, and Representative Frank Lucas.

NFU + MANRRS MOU Signing

In a joint effort to foster diversity and inclusion in agricultural professions, National Farmers Union (NFU) and Minorities in Agriculture, Natural Resources and Related Sciences (MANRRS) will sign a memorandum of understanding (MOU).
